World innovation for injection molding allows up to 6 days of time savings per part

ZEISS and Simcon® combine two of their best products and create a new technology that significantly saves time and money.

ZEISS CALYPSO and Cadmould® 3D-F® & Varimos® have been combined by an interface. The unique combination of simulation and measurement software leads to an increase of efficiency during development, optimization and quality management of parts. The quality measurement test plan of injection molded parts can be used for the virtual part and the real part during setup and in the serial production taking all measuring standards into account. This means the same test plan is used throughout the development up to serial production.

Over a period of 8 days Simcon presented itself on the international trade fair K 2016 in Düsseldorf. The focus was set on the presentation of the newest version of the software for injection moulding simulation Cadmould® 3D-F®.

Injection moulding simulation in new working environment

In 2016 Simcon introduced two new Cadmould® 3D-F versions with innovative and new functions: the simplified optimization for part, mold and process, the Geometry Explorer as new working environment, the extended simulation of the thermoplastic foam injection molding process and the integrated simulation of insert deformation. In addition, the handling of licenses was made more flexible and the integrated material data base was significantly extended.

Team Spirit at Simcon Mudbusters

Team spirit at Simcon Mudbusters Seven Simcon employees from all areas of the company participated as the team „Simcon Mudbusters“ in September 2016 at the Fisherman’s Friend Strongmanrun in Hellendorn in the Netherlands: 21 km through forests, hilly terrain and different water hurdles.
